Transition announcement
The Tech Coalition today announced that President and CEO Sean Litton has decided to transition out of his role following five years of successful leadership of the Coalition.
The Board of Directors has initiated a search for the TC’s next President and CEO and has asked Sean to remain in his role until a successor is appointed and onboarded to ensure continuity and a smooth transition.
“Sean has played a pivotal role in shaping the Tech Coalition into the strong, trusted organization it is today. Under his leadership, the TC has grown significantly, strengthened its programs, and deepened collaboration across industry to prevent and disrupt online child sexual exploitation and abuse.
The Board is deeply grateful for Sean’s leadership and for the thoughtful approach he is taking to this transition. We are pleased he will remain in place to ensure a steady and successful handoff to the next leader.”

Five years of growth
Sean informed the Board earlier this year that he would like to step down after five years leading the organization.
During his tenure, the Tech Coalition has grown from a small group of companies to a global coalition of more than 60 member companies working together to protect children online.
“Leading the Tech Coalition has been one of the greatest privileges of my professional life. Together with our members and an exceptional team, we have expanded our collaboration and increased our collective impact in preventing, detecting, and disrupting child sexual exploitation and abuse.
I’m excited for what comes next for the Tech Coalition, and I’m committed to doing everything I can to make this transition steady and successful.”

Succession plan
The TC Board will lead the search for the next CEO with support from executive search firm Heidrick & Struggles. The Board will work closely with the firm to identify a leader who can build on the Tech Coalition’s strong foundation and guide its next phase of growth and impact.
The position description and information for interested candidates can be found here.
The Tech Coalition will continue its work without interruption during the transition, led by its experienced team and in close partnership with member companies.
The Board and leadership remain focused on advancing the TC’s mission to unite the global tech industry to protect children from online sexual exploitation and abuse.
