The Tech Coalition has updated its Trust Framework, which provides tech companies guidance in transparency reporting concerning their efforts to combat online child sexual exploitation and abuse (OCSEA).
Since the Trust Framework was launched in 2022, we’ve seen changes in the regulatory landscape, the emergence of new technologies and harm types, and firsthand learnings from industry adoption of the Framework. To address these developments and follow through on a promise to revisit the Framework two years after launch, we’ve created a supporting resource on complying with the European Union’s Digital Services Act’s (DSA) transparency requirements for OCSEA and added additional details to relevant sections of the Framework.
The Tech Coalition worked with Tremau, a Trust & Safety solution provider and expert on the DSA, to create the supporting resource, which outlines DSA requirements for different tiers of services, as well as highlights areas of overlap between the DSA and the Framework.
Transparency and accountability is a key part of the Tech Coalition's coordinated action plan to drive the technology industry’s efforts to fight OCSEA.
